VIV Turkey 2009, THE INTERNATIONAL POULTRY AND TECHNOLGIES TRADE FAIR WILL BE STAGED AT THE ISTANBUL FAIR CENTER

Turkey and the Middle-East’s Foremost International poultry and UFI Certified Trade Fair will be held from 25th to 27th 2009.

Organised in 6 countries worldwide by VNU Exhibitions Europe, HKF Trade Fairs is the license holder for Turkey. It is the most extensive, most productive and best known fair of its type in the whole of the Middle-East and VIV Turkey 2009 will be the sixth edition to be held.

The latest technological advances and techniques are at these fairs!

The most pressing problems for the Turkish poultry sector are climate change and the associated global drought along with animal disease, rising feed and energy costs, limitations on poultry exports and a shortage of qualified workers. All of which have been a setback to the development of this sector.

It is essential that there is a move from traditional production methods to international accepted norms by increased investment in new technology and techniques so that the sector can become export orientated.

The poultry sector has made great progress in a very short time and has now even surpassed the EU production standards by the use of tmely and wise investment. But still much more must be done in order to respond to the consumers’ desire for healthier and more hygienic production methods and products.

Seminar programmes that will set the agenda!

In 2004 and 2005 VIV Turkey was in the world spotlight when the 22nd World Poultry Congress and the 14th World Veterinary Poultry Congress respectively were held simultaneously with the fairs providing a unique expert platform.

During the duration of VIV Turkey 2009 there will be an equally exciting programme of activities: demonstrations of the latest techniques and technologies by the foremost companies from the poultry sector, panels and forums where the most influential names in the sector will discuss and help to provide solutions for the sector’s issues.

Marketing and sales of VIV Turkey 2009 began on 1st September 2008!

Publicity for this exciting event commenced with the distribution of publicity material to all the domestic and overseas participants on HKF’s data base along with professional visitors to previous fairs.

Despite the long national holiday in Turkey that coincided with the launch, by 27th  of October, 83 companies have indicated their intention to book space for VIV Turkey 2009 while 18 have already signed agreements. The result being that for VIV Turkey 2009 3470 Sq. Metres have been reserved while 1281 Sq. Metres have been sold.
